Friends and familia,
Big miracles coming out of Clarksville this week! It was absolutely spectacular!
Biggest miracle is the familia Buzaitis! They have been taught by missionaries in the past, but they wanted to take a break with Covid. But now that we can go into houses, they were so excited to have us come over!
So we have stopped by these past 2 weeks, to kind of feel out the situation and see if they really wanted to progress, and then this past week we had one of the most powerful restoration lessons in my mission. It was so amazing! They were almost crying and the 14 year old boy who is usually cracking jokes, was sitting there with a deep pondering look on his face like really taking it in, and then he started reading the book of Mormon even before we left!! And the best part, is that the mom is from Ecuador, so I get to practice my Spanish!!!!!!!!
We also has some really fun exchanges this past week! We went to some doors to.go get some numbers from people and we met these 2 super cool dudes named Kenny and Larry. And we had a good chat with them, got a phone number, and set up a time to go back. Then we went to our next lesson, without giving them a Book of Mormon. I guess I was out of practice, but I told myself and my companions for the day, we are going to go back and give him a Book of Mormon after our next lesson. So after our lesson we started driving back, and boom right there on the side walk literally walking towards us was Kenny and Larry! So we jumped out and gave then both a Book of Mormon and they were so appreciative of it! Divine intervention!!
We were also able to go an visit a returning member friend who calls herself the "Catholic Mormon!" We knocked on her door unannounced and she let us right in, we then got to talking and then she just unloaded her whole life on us and all she was going through! (It is really interesting to me how much people open up to 19-20 year old young men), but we were able to listen to her and talk about it. We offered to come back and help her with some service and she said yes of course!!! So hopefully some big time things come out of this, because she also has 3 adult children who not active as well!
