Dear Friends and Family,
Big changes are in the works again! After just one transfer here in York the Lord has called me to go and serve in Clarksville Maryland. And it's a little bit of a bitter sweet feeling, because President Nye told me that this will be my last area and I will finish my mission as an English missionary. But the one thing I have learned is that these two years truly aren't my own, but instead they are the Lord's! So why should I be trying to tell the Lord how to manage his two years? So the Lord needs me in Clarksville and speaking English so that's where I am going! #LetGodPrevail
But we definitely did end on a high note this past week! Our Egyptian friend was able to come to church this past week and at the end he was just smiling and beaming (couldn't see his teeth with the mask, but you knew the smile was there!) There were so many members who came up and welcomed him and said hi, and I'm sure he didn't understand a whole lot of it, but just to have people interested in you makes a huge difference! He said, "I love American people and I love American church!"
Our friend Massa is also rocking and rolling! We had a couple of lessons with her this week and she loves listening to talks by President Nelson! We sent her the gratitude message and let God Prevail and they spoke right to her heart! We introduced the Book of Mormon to her and asked if we could send some more videos/scriptures! And she said of course! We could send anything! She wants to do anything to grow her closer to Jesus Christ! She's simply amazing!
We've also been working really hard with a lot of members, and it's really amazing to see the missionary opportunities they have and the excitement they have in the missionary work! They want to help out so much!
But this past week we've had a lot of chats about trials and why life is so hard at times, let me share with you somethings I learned this past week!
1. The Lord loves us enough to bless us with trials! Because without trials, we wouldn't be able to become the people the Lord needs us to be without them!
2. We sometimes feel abandoned by God and feel like he is answering our prayers to humble us and truly point us to Him. We have those situations in our life, because when those happen we literally have no where else to go! And if we humble ourselves are truly turn to God and seek to be counseled by Him and not to counsel Him, that's when the answers come! I know it!
I love you all and know that God always answers prayers!
