Dear Friends and Family,
What an absolutely insane week it has been, so much gets packed into the week that it feels way more than just one week, but it has been a very very good one! We were able to go on 4 exchanges this past week which was really fun and kept us moving! I was able to work with some Elders that either came out with me or right around me so it was fun to catch up with them!
But let me tell you some of the miracles we have seen this week! So this area has always had a big struggle to find people to teach, because really the only thing we work with is Facebook and members. We have a couple of phone numbers, but nothing super big. So it's been a little bit of a struggle to find people to start teaching, but this past week we were able to find 2 people!!!! They are both super cool and humble people that just want to learn more! One of them comes from a non-christian background, but he has friends that are Christian and wanted to look into it! We taught him how to pray with the 4 simple steps and then before we could invite him, HE ASKED US, if he could say the closing prayer just to practice and it was perfect! I literally never thought it would be that easy haha
I also really love the members here! We are just having so much success with them! We teach them just a little lesson and bring the spirit in, and then they just start thinking of names of people they want to reach out to! This has happened in about 80% of the lessons we've had! This group is so missionary minded and it gets me super excited! We also went on exchanges with a missionary who's a Spanish speaker like me, and so I brought him to my area and we called our neighbor from Mexico! And the situation wasn't ideal at all. He had just gotten home from work, eating dinner, TV on in the background, and his family trying to talk to him in English while we were talking to him in Spanish. So it was a little rough, but we shared a message with him that went over super well. He seemed to like it, but I didn't realize how much of an impact it had on him up until this past Sunday when he got up and bore his testimony about that lesson! He bore simple testimony of how grateful he was for people like us and the spirit we carry! He then basically told the whole branch to talk to us, and that was so cool! We love him so much!
