Family and friends,
How is it going? Can you already believe it is the middle of April??? So crazy! So sorry for not writing last week, things came up and I wasn't able to get around to it, but here we are this week!
So some cool miracles we have seen this past two weeks:
1. Viviana- She is the one from Chile that we teach her son Spanish. So two Monday's ago, she couldn't join the lesson, so we ended up just teaching her son and it went super well. The son really opened up, and then without really believing in God he ended the lesson with a prayer in Spanish! We then called Viviana after the lesson and reported back to her. We then started talking a little more about the Gospel and she expressed how a lot of people she knows have died recently. We shared a little bit about the plan of salvation and asked if we could share it another time, and she said we could come over to her house soon and she was going to invite a friend of her's to listen too! So she's already cranking out those referrals.
2. Covid restrictions- So we got approval to go into members' houses and non members' houses now to teach! So moving in the right direction, and this just means the weird stories now coming flowing in haha. This past week we got a call from the DC Temple visitor's center sisters and they told us about this guy in our area. So we called him up, and he invited us over to teach him. What we didn't know is that he lived in a group home for basically the mentally insane. So we go into the living room and start teaching him and then he just goes off for like 20 mins on how he feels like he would rather follow the Law of Moses than Joseph's Words of Wisdom, and it was just crazy. He went on for so long that we may or may not have had to raise our hand and said we have a question just to get him to stop talking. ( I do have to say haven't missed these types of lessons), but we shared something, and then left. On the way out we look into his room and his roommate is just standing there eyes WIDE open and not moving, super creepy. And then right before he left, our friend told us he hears voices. We may or may not go back hahahaha
3. V- our friend V finally came to church yesterday and she loved it! And we sent her President Nelson's address on Faith (which has to be one of my favorite things on the planet) and she really liked it too! She also has the goal to be baptized by the end of the summer, because she doesn't know how Covid will play out, but at least she's thinking about it!
4. New missionaries- We got to go pick up 14 new missionaries from the airport this past week and it was so much fun to see them and to remember my first day in the mission. It's crazy how fast time flies in the mission. I am convinced that it doesn't exist.
I love you all and hope you have a great Faith filled week!
